- Greetings,
-
- Looking for experiences with pc cards from different vendors.
-
- I just saw 2 Global Village pc card 28.8 modems ( one with ethernet, one
- without) and I was not impressed with the connect speed. Usually, with
- Motorola Power 28.8 modems, I get 28.8 on an internal line, and 24kbps
- minimum on an external line. With the Global Village pc card 28.8 modems,
- I got 26k max on an internal phone line, and 12kbps, 14kbps, 16kbps
- connects on an external line. It seems that a 14.4 modem would be as fast.
- I am used to 24kbps connect speeds, and the Global Village pc card 28.8
- modems don't give me that.
-
- Dayna, Motorola have modems shipping soon. Has anyone had good experiences
- with any pc card modems?
-
- Did anybody see a review of pc card ethernet cards in MacWeek or MacUser?
